WHAT WE DO

Volunteering
Although we have volunteers in Guyana and a few in Connecticut, we can always use more. Please contact us to find out how you can help.

Health Care
Mortality rates among children are high in Guyana with many children as well as adults suffering and dying from heart disease, diabetes and cancer. There are only a handful of hospitals/medical centers in the country but the cost is exorbitant. The average family cannot afford the costs of medical care or surgery if needed. Save A Life assists in assisting with the medical expenses for heart surgeries, cancer treatments and other illnesses.

Orphan Sponsorship
Hundreds of children are orphaned or abandoned and left hungry, homeless and without any opportunities for education. Save A Life Foundation provides food, shelter, and schooling including their empowerment through vocational training. We are constantly seeking donors to sponsor the children, at $30.00 per month or $1.00 per day, to cover the cost of education, school supplies, shelter and food. Please sponsor a child and save a life.

SOCIAL AND RELIEF PROGRAMS
substantial percentage of the citizens of Guyana live below the poverty line and many poor families depend on humanitarian assistance for their basic necessities of life. Currently we are providing food hampers, back to school supplies and clothing for over 300 families.

INFRA-STRUCTURE/HOUSING
Guyana has many poor villages and communities. Large families live in small huts or dilapidated and unsafe houses. Currently, we are working with destitute families to repair or build modest homes so that they can accommodate their families.
